Molly Odom Magill is a Dallas-based artist who hails from West Texas and comes from a long line of artists, writers and musicians, which led her to explore her creativity from an early age. Molly’s landscape paintings have been seen in shows across the state and her work fills the walls of Genesis Women’s Shelter. Molly’s paintings are rooted in place, an exploration of how our surroundings, particularly the geography, shape us. For Molly, place means Texas and its myriad landscapes and people, beauty and contradictions. Her work seeks to remind us how each place, each moment, makes up a landscape, a life. All are linked and layered to tell our story.
