Galleria Green isn’t just a fashionable color scheme around the shopping center, it’s a lifestyle! The Green Initiative here at Galleria Dallas is a reflection of our promise to support our planet and implement environmentally-friendly practices throughout the center. Alongside the efforts made and maintained to be certified as an IREM Sustainable Property, Galleria Dallas utilizes eco-friendly cleaning products, LED lighting, water-efficient toilets, smart irrigation, and more to help our planet thrive on Earth Day, and every other day of the year.
In tandem with our shopping center's contributions to environmentally supportive practices, many of our Galleria Dallas tenants have also made a 365-day commitment every year of going green in retail through recycle programs, global partnerships, and sustainability commitments.
Recycle Programs
We’ve most likely all grown up with the phrase Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ingrained in our subconscious as a simple equation for doing our part in loving the earth. Fortunately, these retailers took that simple equation and have implemented it into their brand promise of sustainability.
Mango’s Recycling Boxes provide customers with the chance to give their used clothes and shoes a second chance. Inside this Spanish retailer’s Galleria Dallas location, you can deposit your retired clothes and shoes through the glowing circle located next to the checkout counter where they will be given a new life through distribution to second-hand channels, transformed into textile fibers or raw materials for new uses like thermal insulation, or provide energy recovery by being converted into energy in the form of electricity or steam.
Pact Collective is a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate plastic waste from cosmetic packaging by distributing bins to various locations for easy and responsible product disposal. Just here at Galleria Dallas alone we have two Pact Collective drop-off locations within Sephora and Nordstrom as part of their Beauty (Re)Purposed and BEAUTYCYCLE programs.
In addition to being a Pact Collective partner, Sephora carries several brands and products categorized as Plant Aware Brands, meaning they have committed to sustainable ingredient sourcing and formulation, sustainable packaging, environmental corporate commitments, and consumer transparency. Some of the planet aware brands available at Sephora Galleria Dallas include:
Similarly, Nordstrom Galleria Dallas carries many eco-centered brands who have all vowed to build their business and create products with the wellbeing of the planet at the forefront of production, such as:
Known for its environmental progress in the fast-fashion sphere, UNIQLO has uniquely implemented green initiatives through partnerships, like their “UNtrash It” with Piece of Cake Moving & Storage and SuperCircle, to give unwanted clothing a second life. They have also incorporated in-store practices like RE.UNIQLO’s repair and remake through embroidery services to prolong the lifespan of their pieces.
