Brenda Melgoza Ciardiello is a Fort Worth-based interdisciplinary artist, writer and educator born in Mexico City. Through painting, ceramic sculpture and photography, her work explores what it means to carry multiple places within oneself. Her journey has taken her to Italy, the United Kingdom, New York City, New England, the Rocky Mountains and the Middle East – shaping a practice that is both global and deeply personal. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and attended residencies in Greece, Maine and Wyoming. Ciardiello, who holds degrees from Notre Dame, The City College of New York and Lesley University, teaches ceramics and art history at Tarrant County College.
