Hispanic Heritage Month: Connecting Communities and Celebrating Culture Through Art

Camryn Cadenhead | Digital Brand Marketing Manager September 30th, 2025

We’re honoring Hispanic Heritage Month in a colorful way!

Through September and most of October, Joy Reyes, Latina-Jewish multidisciplinary artist, has her work on display in our Artist Collective. The inspiration for her bright and unique works is drawn from her own culture, as well as cultures throughout the world. Her paintings showcase traditions and stories that have impacted her in her lifetime and serve as a celebration for the history that has made her who she is today.

When getting ready to create a new piece, Reyes looks into the community around her get her creative juices flowing. Many of her works utilize collaborations with the people around her through workshops and group projects.

As you observe the paintings on display here at Galleria Dallas, Reyes hopes you take the time to recognize the universal thread that connects us to each other and look introspectively. She extends an invitation to each viewer to discover their sense of belonging and unity in her works and in themselves.

Joy Reyes work will be on display in our Artist Collective on Level 1 near the Outdoor Plaza through October 15th.
